Terms of Use – CERTIFICATO IWZ

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the websites operated by CERTIFICATO IWZ – FZCO, including certificatoiwz.ae and related pages, as well as online services connected to our certification and training activities. By browsing our sites or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Our commitment is to provide clear, transparent and fair conditions for all users, clients, auditors and partners interacting with our digital platforms.

1. Scope of these Terms & acceptance

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) apply to the use of our websites, online forms and digital tools, irrespective of the device used (desktop, tablet, mobile). They do not replace contractual conditions agreed with clients for certification or training projects, which remain in force alongside these Terms.

1.1 Who we are

CERTIFICATO IWZ – FZCO is an independent certification body based in Dubai (UAE), with an Italian branch IWZ CERT SRL in Venice (Italy). Together, we provide accredited certification, training and related services to organisations in different countries and sectors.

1.2 Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using our websites, submitting online forms, downloading documents or using any of the information made available, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not continue to use our sites.

Additional conditions may apply to specific services (for example, certification agreements, training contracts or other written arrangements). In case of inconsistency, those specific conditions prevail over these general Terms.

2. Services, information & content on the site

Our websites provide information on our organisation, accreditation, certification schemes, training courses and tools for interaction with clients and interested parties (e.g. contact forms, training requests, certificate verification).

2.1 Informative nature of content

  • Content on the site is provided for general information and communication purposes. It does not constitute legal, technical or consulting advice.
  • Descriptions of standards, accreditation scopes and training courses are indicative and may be updated or adapted without prior notice.
  • Specific terms and conditions are defined in individual contracts, offers or formal agreements between CERTIFICATO IWZ and each client.

2.2 Online tools & forms

Through our websites you may access forms and tools such as:

  • Request for information, offers or audits.
  • Training and professional development requests.
  • Certificate validity verification, where available.
  • Access to reserved areas or document portals, if activated.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any online feature at any time, for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

3. Use of the website

The website must be used in a lawful, correct and responsible manner. Any use that may compromise the security, availability or integrity of the site or of other users’ data is strictly prohibited.

3.1 Permitted use

  • Consulting information about our organisation, accreditation and services.
  • Submitting legitimate requests for offers, information or training.
  • Using verification tools in good faith to confirm the status of certificates.
  • Accessing documents and reserved areas in accordance with given credentials and rules.

3.2 Prohibited behaviour

  • Using the site for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
  • Attempting to penetrate, test or bypass security measures, or to access data not intended for you.
  • Uploading or transmitting malicious code, spam or any content that may damage systems or third parties.
  • Using our name, logo or content in a misleading way or in a context that damages our reputation or impartiality.

We may suspend or restrict access, without prior notice, if we detect misuse or activities that may compromise security or violate these Terms.

4. Intellectual property

The websites and all related content are protected by intellectual property laws. Respect for these rights is essential to preserve the value and independence of our certification activities.

4.1 Ownership of content

  • Unless otherwise indicated, all texts, graphics, layouts, icons, images, logos and other materials are the property of CERTIFICATO IWZ – FZCO and/or IWZ CERT SRL, or used with the consent of their respective owners.
  • You may download or print content exclusively for personal, non-commercial use and as long as you do not remove copyright or attribution notices.

4.2 Restrictions

  • It is forbidden to reproduce, distribute, modify, translate, resell or create derivative works from the site content without prior written permission.
  • Any unauthorised use of our logos, names or trademarks is strictly prohibited.
  • The use of the CERTIFICATO IWZ or IWZ CERT SRL logo in connection with certified organisations is governed by specific logo usage rules and certification regulations.

5. Certification marks & reference to certification

The right to use our certification marks and to refer to certification is granted only to organisations that hold a valid certificate issued by CERTIFICATO IWZ and only in accordance with the applicable rules.

5.1 Conditions for using the logo

Certified organisations may use the logo and references to certification solely in connection with the scope and sites indicated in their certificate, and in line with our Certification Regulation and Logo Usage Guide. Any use that may mislead users about the scope, status or nature of certification is prohibited.

5.2 Misuse & suspension

In case of misuse of marks, misleading statements or use of expired/suspended/withdrawn certificates, CERTIFICATO IWZ may request immediate correction and, where necessary, suspend or withdraw certification and take legal action.

5.3 Third-party marks & links

Our websites may display third-party logos, names or links (for example, accreditation bodies, partners, training institutions). Such references do not imply ownership of those marks by CERTIFICATO IWZ, nor do they imply that we endorse all activities of such third parties. Their use is subject to the terms defined by each owner.

6. Limitation of liability & disclaimers

6.1 No guarantee of uninterrupted access

While we endeavour to maintain the site available and up to date, we cannot guarantee that access will be uninterrupted, error-free or fully secure at all times. Maintenance, updates or technical issues may temporarily limit availability.

We accept no responsibility for delays, interruptions, errors or omissions arising from network failures, third-party services or events beyond our reasonable control.

6.2 Exclusion of certain types of damage

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CERTIFICATO IWZ – FZCO and IWZ CERT SRL shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities arising from the use of – or inability to use – the site or its content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, in cases of fraud or intentional misconduct).

7. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the use of our websites shall be governed by:

  • the laws of the United Arab Emirates for activities primarily managed by CERTIFICATO IWZ – FZCO, without prejudice to mandatory provisions of other applicable laws;
  • the laws of the Italian Republic and, where applicable, EU law for activities targeting EU users and clients of IWZ CERT SRL.

Competent courts will be those of Dubai (UAE) or Venice (Italy), as applicable, without prejudice to mandatory jurisdiction rules of the place where the user is domiciled or has its registered office, where such rules cannot be derogated by agreement.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, organisational structure, legal requirements or technological developments. The updated version will be published on this page with an indication of the latest revision date.

Continued use of the site after the publication of the new version will be considered as acceptance of the updated Terms. Where appropriate, we may provide a specific notice (for example, via banner or email).
