Our ISO 14001 audits evaluate how your environmental management system is designed, implemented and continually improved, with a focus on real environmental performance and legal compliance.
The ISO 14001 certification process follows a structured and transparent sequence of steps, fully aligned with international accreditation rules.
You share key information about your sites, activities, environmental aspects and existing management systems. We prepare a formal ISO 14001 proposal, defining audit duration, audit team competence and the overall certification program.
Once the proposal is accepted, we plan the audits and conduct Stage 1 to review your readiness, the documented environmental management system and the defined ISO 14001 scope.
During Stage 2 we evaluate how the EMS is applied in practice, including environmental aspects, operational controls, monitoring activities and legal compliance evidence at the relevant sites.
Audit findings, including any nonconformities, are presented and documented. Your organization identifies root causes, defines and implements corrective actions, and provides evidence of their effectiveness.
An independent decision-maker reviews the audit report and supporting evidence and decides whether to grant or maintain ISO 14001 certification for the defined scope.
Periodic surveillance audits and a renewal audit at the end of the certification cycle verify ongoing conformity, environmental performance and continual improvement of the EMS.
The granting or maintenance of ISO 14001 certification is not automatic and is always subject to the successful outcome of audits and full compliance with our certification rules and applicable accreditation requirements.
We combine accreditation, environmental competence and a rigorous but constructive audit approach, focused on the real value of your environmental management system.
We operate as an EIAC-accredited management system certification body (CB-105) for ISO 14001 within our granted scopes, providing internationally recognized environmental certificates.
We do not provide environmental management consultancy for the systems we certify. Our impartiality policy and governance structure are designed to prevent and manage conflicts of interest.
Auditors are selected and assigned according to the environmental aspects, impacts and technical competence required for your sector and accredited scope.
ISO 14001 certificates are typically issued for a three-year cycle, subject to successful surveillance audits and a renewal audit at the end of the cycle, in line with our rules and EIAC accreditation requirements.
Using an external consultant is not mandatory. Many organizations choose to develop and maintain their environmental management system internally. As an independent certification body, we do not provide consultancy for systems we certify, in order to safeguard impartiality.
Yes, it is possible to define an ISO 14001 scope that covers specific sites, processes or activities, provided that the scope is clearly stated on the certificate and is consistent with the standard and accreditation rules.
Environmental nonconformities are presented, documented and classified. Your organization must identify root causes, define and implement corrective actions, and provide evidence of their effectiveness. These actions are evaluated before certification is granted or maintained.
Certified organizations receive guidance on the correct use of our certification mark and references to EIAC accreditation. The use of marks and logos must always comply with our rules and the applicable accreditation requirements.
Whether you are implementing a new environmental management system or consolidating an existing one, our team can support you with a clear, accredited ISO 14001 certification process tailored to your organization and sector.
