Impartiality, independence and organizational structure

Certificato IWZ operates as an independent third-party certification body for management systems.

The organization has established, implemented, and maintains an organizational structure and governance framework designed to ensure the impartiality of certification activities and the independence of certification decisions, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1. Commercial, operational, and certification decision-making activities are clearly segregated and controlled through documented procedures, ensuring that no undue commercial, financial, or other pressures compromise the objectivity of the certification process. IWZ Cert Srl, acting as the operational entity of the Certificato IWZ network in Italy and Europe, does not provide management system consultancy services for activities subject to certification, nor does it engage in any relationships that could present a threat to impartiality, as defined by ISO/IEC 17021-1. All auditors, technical experts, and personnel involved in the certification process, including those responsible for certification decisions, operate on the basis of demonstrated competence, independence, and the absence of conflicts of interest. Certificato IWZ systematically identifies, analyzes, and monitors risks to impartiality and implements appropriate preventive and corrective actions to safeguard the consistency, objectivity, and credibility of certification activities and decisions.
